He recommends ddr2 as a memory upgrade

My computer keeps crashing and the technician thinks I need a memory upgrade. He recommends a ddr2 memory and I have no idea what that is. I told him if that’s the right memory upgrade for my computer, then that’s what I’ll go with. I don’t have a lot of time to get another opinion on other computer memory options. I have a huge project due and don’t have time to mess with computer memory. I just hope that the ddr2 memory is the right computer memory to fix all my problems.
